Lesson overview
In this lesson, you explore how light becomes colour, how your eye processes it — and what happens when you spend too much time in front of a screen. You start with a prism poll and a visual illusion, investigate as one of three specialist groups (Scientist, Engineer, or Health Expert), synthesise your findings, and propagate your learning to the class through a presentation and a Wonder Map.

Group A — Scientist: Investigate how photoreceptors (rods and cones) work and explore colour blindness simulators.
Group B — Engineer: Build with light — explore RGB colour mixing, pixel zoom and hex values.
Group C — Health Expert: Investigate the effects of screen time and create a habit checklist.
